As part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games cultural activities, this Aboriginal Fashion Showcase features a number of emerging Canadian fashion designers in the First Nations (native Canadian) community, including Kim Picard, Tammy Beauvais, Tracy Toulouse and Louie Gong. Their work draws upon the rich history of the Metis, Inuit, and First Nations of their native roots and applies that to contemporary fabric. The result is a fashion statement that is new, authentic, sexy and exciting.
